Every individual has the right to basic human rights of clean water, safety, healthcare, and education. Unfortunately, Nigeria is one of the countries that needs immediate international attention and aid because Nigeria continues to experience natural disasters, epidemics, and long-lasting civil conflicts that have deprived its population of their fundamental rights. Advocating for their welfare and protection, especially children, requires thoughtful solutions and decisive actions. TechSprouts is committed to doing its part to help by promoting awareness to the struggles that hamper prosperity in Nigeria.

According to UNICEF’s Child Climate Risk Index (CCRI), Nigeria ranks second out of 163 countries in the world identified as at “extremely high risk” in human welfare due to flooding caused by climate change, human exploitation and kidnapping, and inadequate infrastructure that compromises readiness against future disasters. Since 2014, over 300 schools have been damaged or destroyed; in 2022 and 2024, major floods displaced over 2.5 million people; and Nigerian girls are nearly 2.5 times more likely to suffer and be out of school compared to girls in other conflict-affected areas. TechSprouts is focusing on making education a more accessible lifeline to empower the next generation of Nigerians’ futures.

Education is more than just about the right to learn. Schools can protect children from the physical dangers around them - including abuse and exploitation. Education also provides children with opportunities to receive lifesaving food, water, healthcare, hygiene supplies, as well as the psychosocial support, guidance and security. By creating more learning spaces to give children the chance to cope and develop life skills, TechSprouts aims to make education the hub that connects communities and helps Nigerians participate in their economic growth, improved stability, and success in the digital world.
